Late Tuesday night, a section of an under-construction building collapsed in the Trans-Hindon area of Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, injuring five members of the same family, including an 80-year-old woman, according to police reports.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Trans-Hindon) Nimish Patil stated that the incident occurred in Sanjay Colony of the GDA in the village of Arthla during the night between August 26 and 27. The injured individuals include Alimun Begum (80), her son Zahid (55), daughter-in-law Shahnaz (50), son Zakir (22), and daughter Nazrana (20).
Upon receiving the alert, police arrived at the scene and rescued those trapped under the debris, transporting them to a government hospital for medical attention. Patil confirmed that all injured individuals are receiving treatment and their condition is reported to be stable.
